In the central and southern regions of Mie Prefecture, there are not many opportunities to experience STEAM-related learning compared to urban areas.
“Tokida After-school Club” is designed to give local elementary school students the chance to explore programming and other creative activities, allowing them to learn and have fun at the same time.

■Menu & Price

① Let’s Play with micro:bit
We start with the same content used in elementary school classes and Treasure Kids programs, then level up to create remote-control cars and treasure-hunting radars. Through these projects, children experience the basics of IoT devices.

② Let’s Play with Scratch
Using a computer and the software “Scratch,” students learn programming concepts such as control structures, conditional branches, and variables while creating games and interactive stories.

③ Let’s Play with Minecraft
By using the educational edition of Minecraft, students learn programming, enjoy activities like treasure hunts and tag-style games, and naturally become more familiar with computers and coding.

④ Experience Various Digital Worlds
Students fly drones up to 100 meters high and race toy drones. They also explore the world of the metaverse and experience online communication in virtual spaces.

⑤ Let’s Make Presentations
Children learn not only to absorb knowledge but also to express themselves by creating and presenting videos. Their projection mapping projects are planned to be showcased at the Tokida Festival.
